Projects

Some more details of the Big Lottery Funding which will be used for the following projects. There are a number of strands that will be delivered over the three years including:

• 6 five-day Summer Schools for young people with SLCI moving from primary to secondary school
• Produce a Northern Ireland Youth Pack
• Northern Ireland Youth Page on The Afasic website
• Set up a Northern Ireland Forum for young people with Speech, Language and communication Impairments
• Youth Achievement Awards for young people working on the Youth Pack, website and forum
• 3 Activity Days
• Promote the “Watch Your Language” staff development resource pack
• Promote the Afasic Scotland “Including young people with speech and language impairments in secondary education” resource pack
